ABOUT DRONE CENTRAL
About Drone
Central.
Drone Central pairs a global view of drone reporting with original guides and opinion. Here is how each part of the site is made, attributed and preserved.
How the news is selected
Drone Central monitors a rotating mix of specialist drone publications and broader news feeds around the world, including sources published in languages other than English. Broader feeds contribute only drone-related items. Each source can contribute at most two stories to an edition.
Publisher timestamps are interpreted in Eastern time. Items dated today appear first; eligible reporting from the preceding seven Eastern dates follows, newest first. Signals of wider news coverage help order today’s stories. They do not measure readership or verify a publisher’s claims.
Who owns the reporting?
News headlines and summaries come from publisher feeds. Each story names its publisher and links to its full article on the publisher’s site. A country label describes the publisher’s location when known, not necessarily where the reported event took place. Publishers own their reporting; Drone Central does not claim to have written or independently verified it.
Original drone guides and opinions
Our guides discuss practical decisions about drone equipment, flight workflows and emerging uses. They are written for Drone Central independently of the news feed, clearly dated, and kept at permanent article addresses. Opinion is identified as such. We do not claim hands-on product testing when none occurred.
New guides are prepared with automated writing assistance. The publishing process checks for repeated topics and seeks official sources for material technical or regulatory claims. An automated check is not a substitute for field testing or expert review; consult current official rules before flying. A daily run may skip publication when it cannot produce a useful, supportable piece.
What the daily briefing measures
The briefing is an automated analysis of the saved news edition. It counts stories, publishers, publisher countries and broad headline topics, then compares editions when data is available. Topic labels are assigned from headline words; counts represent items in this collection, not independent events, popularity totals or verified conclusions.
Languages and translation
A language selector appears across the site. The choice is saved in your browser. Translations depend on an available service or supported browser feature; when translation is unavailable, original text may remain visible. Switching back to English restores the original English site copy and guides.
What stays in the archive?
The news archive preserves dated headlines and summaries captured for each edition. Original guides also have a separate dated archive and retain their individual links. Browse the daily archive.
Advertising and editorial independence
Paid placements, when present, are labeled. Sponsors do not choose or rank news stories or original guides. Learn about sponsorships.
